In the Waves

We rated this book:

In this book, these two sisters are getting ready to go to the beach. It has lots of little rhymes that tell you about the beach and what you can do there. For example, you can build sandcastles, go swimming (unless it’s too cold!), and even ride on a dolphin or a whale! You can have a dream vacation, it says, if you have a good imagination. Then, at the end you find the girls are not really going to the beach at all!

I really like how at the end of the book there is a crab that it tells you to look for in the pages of the book. I like all the drawings of all the different things the girls do and it reminds me of when I went to the beach. My favorite picture is where the older sister is building a sandcastle, and my second favorite is where they find all the jewels in the undersea treasure. This book is made from a song that you can also listen to on the internet!
