In The Garden With Flori

In the Garden with Flori by Sonja Danowski is a really good book. It has a girl, her family, and her dog, Flori. When Linn’s grandpa accidentally trips over a root in the garden and hurts his foot, he asks Linn to look after his garden for him. The mischievous Flori causes trouble in the greenhouse and things get all wacky from there. Flori is a lot of trouble but still a good dog. What will Linn do? Will her grandpa be mad? And where did all the snails come from?

We were worried about Linn taking care of the garden on her own. And because of the snails. We loved learning about common garden snails in the back of the book. So now we know what to do if they ever visit our garden! This could be useful for people who garden or who like gardens, because of the snail part. The pictures in the book are wonderful, even those painted by one of the characters, and it made us excited to garden.
