Imaginary Fred
Fred is this imaginary boy, who lives up in the sky, and only comes down to Earth, if conditions are just right, to be an imaginary friend to a real child. Fred is a nice friend, and does whatever the real child wants to do, but there always comes a day when the real child makes a real friend, and then, Fred is sent back up to the sky. One day, Fred meets a boy named Sam, and they are best friends, until Sam meets a girl named Sammie. Fred is afraid that he and Sam aren’t going to be friends anymore, but then he meets Sammie’s imaginary friend.
I like this book. I like that Fred gets to make a friend who doesn’t go away. I like the pictures, which are drawings, and it is a good story. One part of the book I really like, was where it talks about the conditions being just right, and it shows a pig being struck by lightning and a piano falling on the mailman; those little pictures are funny. I think a lot of children will like this book.
