I liked reading this book about children who live in India which is a country in Asia. There are names for children who live in India like Anoop or Nikita. I never met someone with those names but I would like to. This book tells about a lot of things in India like money, Bollywood, food, and the Taj Mahal. Reading about the food made me feel hungry. I learned the capital of India is New Delhi. People speak over a hundred languages. A hundred languages? That’s a lot! The part about food is interesting: “Because there are so many different cultures in India, there is a wide variety of food choices. If you were me, you would love spicy things.” This book is special when it tells about a celebration where people throw colored powder and water. That sounds fun. I wish that there would be a story about children like Nikita. I would like a story about her house. In the back of the book there is a pronunciation guide with a lot of words. There is a lot to learn about India.
