This book is about taking really big things like the Solar System, inventions through time, water on the planet, and energy sources in the world and then scaling them down to something that we can better understand. When you scale down something, you shrink it down to a smaller size but every part is reduced equally.

This book made me think a lot while we were reading it. Older kids would like this book best. It is not really a picture book for young children. I really liked this book and learned a lot! My favorite page was the one about water. All of the water in the world was put into 100 glasses. Then I learned that 97 of the glasses would be salt water. Three glasses left would contain fresh water. Only one of the fresh water glasses would be available for everyone in the world to use. The other two glasses of fresh water wouldn’t be available to use because they are glaciers, deep underground, or frozen in the atmosphere. The picture of this really helped me to understand this! I enjoyed looking at all of the pictures in this book and thinking about each page.
