I Want My Dad!
The Little Princess is unhappy that her dad, the king, is “useless.” The chef bakes really nice cakes for his son, but her dad makes burned cakes. The admiral teaches his daughter to swim. The gardener takes his children for adventure walks. The Little Princess is unhappy that her dad can’t teach her this stuff, but the maid says she can teach her. The first thing the maid teaches the princess is to trot on her pony, but she falls off and bumps her head. Next the maid teaches her to bake a cake, but when the Little Princess makes her cake, it hurts her teeth. When she swims, the Little Princess gets a lot of fish and frogs in her mouth. The Little Princess gets lost on an adventure walk. When she and the maid get out of the forest, her dad comes and she runs up to him and says, “I want my dad!” The king says that he feels so proud and gives her a big hug. In this Little Princess picture book if you do something badly it doesn’t matter. What matters is having someone to be with who loves you.
