I Said, “Bed!”

I Said Bed by Bruce Degen is probably one of the worst books I have ever read in my life. The book is very boring, dull, illiterate and different from what I expect from a picture book. No one needs to know or really care about a flying bed that takes him on magical adventures and the fact that he disrespected his parents in the beginning really didn’t help improve my opinion on this book. This book was a total nightmare for me and I really don’t think that even little kids will enjoy it. With all these negatives in mind, this book still has excellent illustrations and drawings which are unique and colorful with lots of added texture and curves which will make me think a little more about this book as I really try to scope his good and bad points, but really, that is the only good part about this book. In my opinion, the author is an excellent illustrator but not a good author and this is not a solid book.
