I Don’t Want to Be Big
This story is about a frog. He won’t eat his dinner because he doesn’t want to be big. He doesn’t want to be big, but he doesn’t want to be really small either. He wants his dad to carry him all around. He has big friends to retrieve cupcakes from a big log for him. He doesn’t want to hit his head or lose playing hide-and-seek. The pig says there are good things about growing. The pig says he gets the biggest pool of mud and the biggest bucket of garbage. This doesn’t change the frog’s mind. The pig says growing big doesn’t mean growing up. The frog likes this. He’s going to eat his dinner, but he won’t take a bath. (I wonder what frog will look like grown up.)
I give this book eleven stars! The pictures are amazing! I love them! I love the picture of dad not growing up the best. The tree frog picture is funny. That’s my other favorite picture. The tree frogs are cute. This book is really, really, really hilarious. I’ll read more in this series – definitely. This book is easy to read. Ages five and up will enjoy this book.
