I Don’t Like Cheese

‎I Don’t Like Cheese is about a little mouse named Mike, who doesn’t like cheese. He refuses to eat the cheese his mom gives him. Every night at dinnertime, a little girl named Ashley gives dinner to Mike. Each night, dinner is from a different country, tacos from Mexico, pizza and gelato from Ital‎y, and sushi from Japan. But one day, Ashley leaves him a note that says she has to go away and will not be able to give him dinner. Mike gets very hungry and has to eat the cheese from his mom. He then realizes that most of the food Ashley gave him had cheese in it. Mike actually likes cheese.

I really liked I Don’t Like Cheese. I thought that it was cute that with the different foods that Ashley gives Mike, he always wears some clothes from that country, like a kimono or a french beret. The illustrations are watercolor and were really pretty. The way the book was written was easy for me to read on my own. I think other kids should read this book because it will show them it is important to try new foods, they may like it.
