Human Body Theater
This is a book about the human body, and how it works. Now that we have context, time to explain. This is a good way to learn about the human body, if you haven’t studied it before, as it uses a more comic-book look. It’s completely full of pictures. It’s very thorough, and talks about things like the digestive system, the bones, the muscle, pretty much everything. I noticed that the diagrams were especially wordy, and I often skipped over them. The body parts have cute faces, and that makes it a lot more bearable. A skeleton leads you on a tour through the human body. There is a cool plot twist when the skeleton turns out to be…I don’t want to spoil it. You’ll have to read it to find out!
This book is appropriate for any age group who hasn’t yet learned how the body works, or for those who have learned about it and want a good review, though there is a section on the reproductive system that is straight-forward and includes the body parts. It may not be appropriate for younger readers. Overall, I would say this is a good book, and a great way to learn about anatomy. If you are a beginner and want to learn about anatomy, make sure to read this.
