Hugo Sprouts is the smallest kid on the playground and is always picked last. He wants to grow big and strong like his dad so that maybe other kids will want to play with him. While Hugo is not the most athletic kid, he is a very smart scientist and thinks that maybe he can create something to help him get bigger and more athletic. Hugo thinks beans are the secret ingredient to growing big. What he doesn’t know is that maybe he will get more than he bargained for when he becomes the biggest kid of them all. Above all else, he must remember how important kindness is, no matter how big you are.

I really liked this book; it has a very funny storyline and great illustrations to match! The creepy green potion is my favorite part of the book!! I also like the positive message in the book to remember to be kind to others no matter your size!
