How to Talk Monster

Have you ever wondered how to talk like or understand a monster? Some people think there might be a monster living under their beds, in their closets, or believe in the ones they see on TV. The people who think this are usually scared of those monsters. The boy in How to Talk Monster was the same way; this boy was reading a book with them before going to bed and then got scared. The boy thought he saw one close to him, but his parents didn’t believe him. The boy stayed scared until he learned how to talk like a monster, then things got better.

I like how the boy finally decided to try understanding the monster instead of running away from it. When the boy decided not to be scared of it anymore, it was fun because they did everything together. I like how the story was like a comic book, and the pictures had bright colors and were fun to see. I like that there are pages in the back to help people know How to Talk Monster so they won’t have to be scared anymore and can talk to each other in a secret language that only they will know!
