How to Read a Book
How to Read a Book by Kwame Alexander is about reading and books. It is a story about how special books are and that you shouldn’t rush through a book. It tells you to find a comfortable spot to read your book. Also, books can take you somewhere with your imagination. I like reading and I like books. The story was a bit hard to understand and kind of confusing. I didn’t get the poetry much. The illustrations are very colorful, and there are lots of words from other stories. The illustrations were pretty cool but sometimes it was very hard to read the words. I wonder if Melissa Sweet, the illustrator, took pictures of the words or if she actually drew all the drawings. The illustrations look similar to her other book. I recommend this book to children who rush and hurry through books because maybe after reading this book, they might take more time to read books. I also recommend this book to children or grown-ups who like to read poetry.
