How to Navigate Zombie Cave and Defeat Pirate Pete: Slug Pie Story #1

This book is EXTREMELY ADVENTUROUS. It is about a boy named Mick, who went into a zombie cave with a pitch fork, Swiss Army knife, chocolate bar, and a miner’s hat. He went looking for pirate gold. He slayed over five zombies, found a dead body, stepped in bat guts and a lot of other things that are pretty gross. Mick nearly died a couple times and almost drowned.

This was one of my favorite books. If I could, I would give it more than five stars. It was exciting, deathly, and funny. It is a good thing there are no pictures in the book because they would freak out the reader. The descriptions were really good, so you could picture the creepiness. There were parts of the book that were really gross. This book expanded my vocabulary with words like ‘carcass’ and ‘bulbous’.

It is a short book, so you can finish it quickly. If you are under age nine, it might be too gross and creepy. I am looking forward to reading the second book.
