How to Find a Friend
This book tells the funniest story ever. It is about a rabbit and a squirrel that are desperate to find a friend. They look around and look around, and they cannot see each other. The funniest thing is the two little helpers that they have (although they do not know about them). There are two little worms trying to point them to where a friend could be found and saying the funniest things, but Squirrel and Rabbit just can’t follow those directions, and they keep looking forever, like when Rabbit is playing in a field and Squirrel is on a boat on a nearby lake, or when Squirrel is on a bridge carrying nuts and even drops some on top of Rabbit’s head, but they still can’t see each other. One day Rabbit knocks down the ladder Squirrel has climbed up on…but nothing. They are resigned to being lonely in the forest and to not having any friends when one day they are both on their skates and skateboard carrying books and carrots and they hit each other – and knock down their worm angels, too! That’s when their friendship starts.
