Honey

Melody only has a father because her mother died when she was born. One night, when she was sleeping, she heard her dad call someone on the phone, “Honey.” She wanted to figure out who that was, because she wanted to know if she was going to get a mom. She has to find out who her dad is going to marry. She tries to figure it out with her friend Nick, by talking to people at the salon. She thinks it is one of her teachers, but isn’t happy about it. How can Melody grow to love a mom she doesn’t even like?

This book was fun because it is a mystery, and I like mysteries A LOT! I really liked Melody. There was this other girl named Teemy, who was really annoying because she kept peeking through the fence, and that was a funny part of the story. I was really happy for Melody at the end, especially because she was also reunited with her dog, Mo. I read this book really fast, and I really liked it. I’m sure you will like it too!
