This book is all about homes. They are homes for people, and even for some things that are not people: animals, and there’s a mermaid home, and a Moonian home, and an Atlantean home, and a home for a Norse god. Some homes are tall, and some homes are short. Some are messy, some are clean. There is a candy bread home, and one that looks like a jellyfish. I like the home that’s a shoe because it’s really funny! It’s funny because there’s a roof on top of the shoe! And there are lots of children playing all around it. The person who painted these pictures is an artist. She lives in the country, with horses and birds. My home is Oklahoma. I think it’s fun that there’s different houses that it tells you about, and I like that. The colors are gray and blue and brown, with a little red but it is not very colorful; they look like they are in a cloudy day. It’s fun to think about living in different places and about different homes. The pictures are very pretty and they make me feel happy.
