Hobgoblin and the Seven Stinkers of Rancidia (Hazy Fables)

This tale takes place in the land of Rancidia, a beautiful land full of stinky creatures. The creatures all enjoy the stink until the ogre showed up. This ogre took over the entire land of Rancidia and declared himself king. As king, he will scrub anyone who is stinkier than him. Not too far from Rancidia lives a boy named Hobgoblin, his stink is very well known across the land but being known isn’t always good. The ogre is furious after finding out about Hobgoblin and orders him to be scrubbed. Hobgoblin will have to escape the ogres’ wrath before he gets scrubbed.

This book is funny and serious at the right times and it also shows how different the world would be if we all liked putrid smells. You find yourself routing for the protagonist to defeat the ogres and reclaim his land. Some of the humor in this book may not be for everyone but I don’t think it will ruin the book for anyone. All in all a good funny book that I think most will like.
