Hip & Hop in the House!: A Free-flowing Tortoise and the Hare collection
Hip & Hop in the House! is a book about a turtle named Hip and a rabbit named Hop. They live in different cities. The animals in the two cities don’t like each other. Hip and Hop both saw a rapping poster. They both wanted to go to the contest. They became friends. They listen to music together all day. When it is time for their competition, they let everyone dance to the music while they rapped, and they won.
My favorite character in the book is Hop. The illustrations are cute. It’s funny how they make the famous rapper and hip-hop artists into animal versions like Bee-yonce. Bee-yonce is another one of my favorite characters. It was also amusing that Yael kept saying no, but in the end, he started saying yes because he began to like the things he used to hate. The book has valuable lessons, and anyone who loves music, rapping or reading silly stories should read this book.
