Hilo Book 4: Waking the Monsters
This is the fourth Hilo book. Hilo is a robot who looks like a kid. Izzy is his sister. She’s good at building things. Gina and DJ are humans and Hilo’s friends. They have to fight giant robots. Hilo wears a metal suit, so when he fights monsters, no one knows who he is. Gina has been doing magic. She can blast things with lightning. A robot named Razorwark is controlling all the robots. Will they be able to defeat Razorwark and his robots? Read the book to find out.
This book is good for kids six and up, but five-year-olds may be okay. The author didn’t have to do much introduction. I think you could understand this book without reading the first three books. Hilo is exciting and funny. Razorwark’s backstory didn’t really tell me why he was sending a bunch of robots to destroy cities. I understand why he doesn’t like humans. I have read all of the Hilo books. This book is even better than the others. It’s a graphic novel. The art style is good. I liked the book. I want to read the next one.
