Hercules and His 12 Labors: An Interactive Mythological Adventure

This book is a modern retelling of a classic tale in a choose-your-own-adventure style. It’s about Hercules, who was a half-god and who was famous for his twelve labors, which are now part of the night sky. In addition to Hercules, who was a strong man and also a Greek, some of the other characters in this book are Meg, you (the reader), and Hercules’s twelve labors. Some of these labors are: the Nemean Lion, the Amazon queen, and the Augean stables. You might be wondering why Hercules has all these labors, or jobs, to do. Well, Eurystheus was the one to give him the labors. One of the things I really liked about this book was that it gave you information on some of the other figures in Greek mythology such as Atlas, Hera, and Zeus. One of the things about this book that I didn’t like was that when I chose a story path to go down, it sometimes ended too quickly. I really enjoyed this book. I think boys and girls who like adventure stories about ancient Greece would like this book.
