Hector (a bear) and Hummingbird are friends, except that Hummingbird talks too much. Hector gets annoyed with Hummingbird and tells Hector not to follow him into the jungle so he can get some peace and quiet. Hector doesn’t know that Hummingbird is spying on Hector. Hector misses Hummingbird so much that he can’t sleep. He wishes Hummingbird could tell him a story. Suddenly Hummingbird appears and tells Hector that he never left him. Hector tells Hummingbird why he wanted to be alone. Hector comes up with a good idea so they can get along better.

I really like this book because Hector and Hummingbird learn how to become best friends. They end up talking about what bothers Hector, and then Hector comes up with an idea so they can work together better. I think Hummingbird is so funny. He’s really annoying, but all Hummingbird is trying to do is to be friendly. My favorite page is when Hector comes up with an idea and Hummingbird says, “Absolutely!” There’s a fun game at the end of the book where you have to find different jungle animals. I recommend this book because it’s a great story about friendship.
