Heartwood Hotel, Book 1 A True Home
The Heartwood Hotel: A True Home is about a mouse named Mona, who’s always had a hard time finding a place to call home. She lost her parents in a big storm at a young age and has been on her own ever since. One night she finds the Heartwood Hotel and is lucky to find an open position as a maid. Mona soon learns to love her new home with the amazing staff that becomes her new family.
After a few weeks at the hotel, Mona and the staff learn about a wolf pack that wants to attack the hotel and its guests!! The staff has to come up with a plan to save the hotel!
This edition also held the second book the series called The Greatest Gift. In this part, Mona celebrates the winter holiday season and discovers the true meaning of friendship!
I really enjoyed these books. The Greatest Gift was my favorite because of the winter/holiday theme. Books about friendships are some of my favorites, and it makes me so happy to read them. I agree with the age recommendation of seven to twelve years old, but I also think that this would be a fantastic read-aloud book for younger children!
