Hattie and Olaf
Hattie and Olaf by Frida Nilsson is a really good book that I enjoyed. Hattie loves horses and kept asking her dad for a horse. One day, her dad comes home with a big surprise. He has a trailer with him, and Hattie thinks it is a horse. When she opened the door, it is a donkey. A DONKEY! She is not happy about the donkey named Olaf but she tells her dad she likes it. Hattie starts to make up stories telling everyone she has an old neighbor named Olaf who has three white horses that she can ride anytime.
I like Hattie and Olaf because the plot is so interesting and you can never put down the book unless you have to do something. There were a few illustrations that fit with the story, but they could be better. It was really funny, and I would definitely recommend reading it. I was laughing on every page. I liked reading the book and would love to read more about Hattie and Olaf.
I think this book is for kids six to ten years old.
