Happy Birthday, Madame Chapeau
This lady, Madame Chapeau, makes a lot of hats. She makes them for everyone. All the hats are different. But she eats dinner with nobody and she is lonely. On her birthday one day she unpacks her nice clothes she likes and she puts on her red shoes and her red hat that has a feather and an arrow and a heart. She stepped on a root and a crow stole her hat! So she was sad because her hat was stolen. A lot of people said she could have their hats, but they weren’t the right hat for her. But then a little girl gave her a hat that she made for her out of yarn. It had poufs on its bottom and poufs on its top and yarn. Then Madame Chapeau invited everyone to have cake with her and she wasn’t lonely anymore because she had someone and she had friends.
This book is so fun and I want keep it forever. I like to look at all the hats. The people in the book seem really nice. All of the hats are my favorite! I would like to wear all of them at the same time!
