Hands to Heart: Breathe and Bend with Animal Friends
Hand to Heart is the perfect book to help calm big emotions. I love the yoga-inspired moves demonstrated by animal friends. While there are many different animals throughout the book that help demonstrate each move. My favorite part of the book is the little mouse on each page helping me to learn to breathe and relax while doing each yoga pose. From stretching high to bending low each animal tells you how to regulate and breath to help calm and stretch your body. The illustrations in the book are absolutely adorable. Each page is filled with calming colors, charming animal faces, and happy plants. The illustrations create a beautiful scene to help get into a calming place.
This would be a great book to read to an entire classroom of kids to calm down before an important test or just to relax in the classroom for a few minutes. I especially love reading this book with my family to help us relax after a busy day. This is just the kind of book I have been looking for, as I love to stretch and do yoga!
