Hamster Princess: Giant Trouble
Hamster Princess: Giant Trouble is a super, silly adventure. I’ve read a few other adventures from Harriet the Hamster, and this one was one of the silliest yet.
In this book Harriet meets a traveling salesman who offers her magic beans. Harriet declines the offer, but her crazy battle quail, who is also her brave and silly companion sidekick, greedily eats one of the beans!! Since the salesman doesn’t want to wait for the bean to be…digested and given back to him, he gifts Harriet the bean for free!
After Mumfrey the quail has properly digested the bean, the two of them wake up to find a gigantic beanstalk. A goofy adventure begins. Harriet, Mumfrey, and old friend, Wilbur, save Harper, the golden harp, and also the golden goose.
As with most of the Harriet Hamster stories, this was a fun read for me. It didn’t take me a long time to read it, but it was fun to read an old story with a new twist.
I think all kids six and up would probably really enjoy this book. Lots of fun cartoon drawings make this book even better!
