Grace and Katie
Grace and Katie are identical twins who love to draw, but most of the time their drawings don’t look the same. Grace draws nice straight lines and angles, while Katie draws bright colors, patterns, and swirls. Neither like the way the other draws. One day Grace decides to draw a map of her home. Katie wants to help her, but Grace doesn’t want Katie to help, so Katie decides to draw her own map. When they are done, each girl feels like something is missing. Can the girls help each other?
I loved reading Grace & Katie; I knew I was going to like it as soon as I saw the cover. The girls look like they are around my age, and I also like drawing. The illustrations are awesome. I think the illustrator cut things out of magazines and newspapers, like a collage, for Katie’s work. I thought it was really neat. I really liked looking at Grace’s map and seeing all the things in their apartment. I would recommend Grace & Katie to kids who like to draw and maybe twins who don’t agree on things. I think kids would enjoy taking the time to look at the maps that Grace and Katie made.
