Owl was about to go to sleep, when he heard a “squeek” noise. He thought it was someone at the door, or maybe the wind, but could not see anything. So he went to bed, wished himself good night and all of a sudden heard the noise again. He thought it was in the cupboard, emptied every shelf but couldn’t see anything. He went back to bed and heard it again. He thought it was in the floor and pulled up all the floorboards. No noise. As he was about to sleep again, he heard the noise, thought it was in the roof and took down the roof. Under the moon and stars, he could not sleep. He waited for the noise, and when he heard it again, thought it was in the walls. When the wall were torn down, he was finally able to see the noise. It was a cute little mouse. Owl smiled and wished him good night. And this time both went to sleep.

This book tells a cute story and the drawings are really funny. I couldn’t wait to see the face of the owl once he found out that he had been taking his own house apart for only a little mouse!
