Golden Ticket
Ash won the Quiz bowl when she was in fourth grade. Ever since, her parents and her friends have had high expectations for her. She’s in the gifted and talented class with only five other students. But the truth? She isn’t able to keep up with the gifted and talented class anymore. She’s having trouble with assignments and her grades have been plummeting. The only way to prove that she’s as smart as everybody thinks is to win the Quiz bowl again, two years in a row. She will do anything to make sure she wins… But what if she doesn’t?
This is a really good story about friendship and truth. It’s also about finding what works best for you and not to be ashamed about it. It’s a very relatable and believable book. There are questions that weren’t really answered, like why Tilly was so mean to Ash at the beginning of the story, or if Jane and Ash continue to be friends.
