Girls Who Code is a book by Reshma Saujani who founded an organization that “helps girls in middle school and beyond learn to write code that’s used to program computers and digital devices and get inspired by all the amazing ideas, skills, and opportunities that learning to code can bring.” This book teaches girls how to code. Some of the girls who code are: Celeste, Yananshalie, and Glory. It is a very inspiring book about how girls can learn to code and even have careers working with computers and coding. I have several books about how to code, and I have tried some coding myself. So I was especially interested in getting this new book, and I enjoyed it very much. I know I will read it more than one time. How I want to code is: I can tell fellow coders what I want to do. I’ll use something advanced, like Swift, C#, or Arduino. So I’ll be a girl who codes. This is a good book for me and other girls who are interested in coding. I even dressed up as a future computer coder in Career Day at school!
