Girl Power 5-Minute Stories
In this book there are ten stories about lots of different characters! The theme is girl power. I read some of these stories before, like when I read the book series about Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa. Some other stories in Girl Power are “Chavela and the Magic Bubble,” “Ella Sarah Gets Dressed,” and “I Like Myself!” There are lots of characters, but I really liked Supersister. She wears a mask because she is a superhero. She is a sister, just like me! I liked this line because I love when things rhyme: “Supersister counts sheep to fall asleep.” I thought the illustrations in this collection were very imaginative and creative. Some of the pictures are fantasy-like. I thought it was cool that this book had lots of girls in here but not boys. I liked the story “Princess in Training” because I did the same thing when I learned karate! “She eye-balled that dragon and give it the best karate-chop she had.” Little girls and readers who like stories about girls will enjoy reading this book.
