Generation Wonder: The New Age of Heroes was a pretty good read. It is about all kinds of different teenagers with supernatural abilities. Some of the teenagers were born into their abilities, while others gained extraordinary talents from freakish accidents. All of the teenagers have some type of mental or physical problem, yet they still find ways to cope and even excel. The characters really demonstrated how so many different youths struggle in the modern world with all sorts of challenges and obstacles. It is a reminder that perseverance pays off. No matter how many difficulties one faces, there are always ways to cope and even succeed.

The heroes and heroines in Generation Wonder: The New Age of Heroes were intriguing, but I did not enjoy the book as much as I hoped I would. Some of the challenges faced are a little above my age range so it was difficult to relate to them. I believe this book is better suited for young adults, ages fifteen and older. Even though this is not the book for me, it did show me one important lesson: life is hard, but there is always a way to push through. It is important to keep trying, even in the darkest times.
