Game Over, Pete Watson
After his mom borrows his money without asking, Pete sells his dad’s old gaming console without asking, so he can buy the new game he has been saving up for. What he didn’t know was that the console was actually a device for spying by the CIA and is now in the hands of the bad guys. Then his dad gets trapped inside and things start going very wrong. Pete realizes he must get the console back and save the world before it is too late!
It seems more authors are realizing that tweens still like some type of art in their books. Game Over Pete Watson will probably be a book liked by readers who also like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and watched the movie Tron. It is a topic kids like, but still not written about too much, fast paced, and has a lot of funny stuff, including all of the drawings, going on throughout the book that will keep you laughing. I would highly recommend this book to all ages, especially readers who like video games, comics, and laughing a lot!
