Frozen: Conceal, Don’t Feel: A Twisted Tale
This book asks the question, “What if Anna and Elsa never knew each other?” It takes characters from Frozen and puts them in different situations. I enjoy reading stories like this, where I know the characters but not the plot. This book is exciting because Elsa has to journey and find a missing princess! I thought the adventure part of the story was very interesting, and it kept me wanting to read more and find out what happened. There are also new characters, such as Freya, who is like Anna’s aunt. I have seen both of the Frozen movies, so I was already familiar with the characters, but anyone could enjoy this story—the reader doesn’t have to see the movies before reading the book (although that would be okay too!). There is a mystery about a curse that is thrilling to discover also. I liked how the author used some flashbacks (“thirteen years earlier”) to reveal information about the characters and their backgrounds. Readers who are interested in Frozen will find this book a good choice!
