From an Idea to Disney: How Imagination Built a World of Magic is about the history of how Walt Disney created the world’s largest entertainment empire. This book is a great book if you were doing a report on Walt Disney. I learned a lot from reading this book, like that Walt Disney wanted Disneyworld to be a clean amusement park unlike most, which are filthy. I learned that he met his wife, Lillian, because she was an animator at a company owned with his brother, Roy, and I learned that Mickey Mouse’s name was originally Mortimer Mouse until his wife suggested Mickey Mouse.

I loved From an Idea to Disney: How Imagination Built a World of Magic because it has quotes from Walt Disney. I am probably going to tell the things I learned to my friends’ mom because she would do Mickey’s “laundry” at Disneyland. I would recommend From an Idea to Disney: How Imagination Built a World of Magic to kids (or adults) who might be Disney fans, and who are wanting to learn more about Walt Disney.
