Friday Barnes, Girl Detective
Have you ever wanted to be a detective? Have you ever wanted to blend in with your scenery? This is what Friday does. When she is eleven, she is rewarded with 50,000 dollars for solving her first case. She finds a huge diamond, saving the insurance company from losing a lot of money. She uses the reward to enroll herself in a boarding school, where mystery tales of a Yeti monster, missing homework, and a false accusation allow her to keep her job as a detective. All of the adventures and mysteries sure keep it exciting!
This thrilling book is perfect for mystery lovers. It keeps you entertained. Honestly, I could not stop reading it. This book is really good, but it may not be appropriate for little kids. She hits her head when she comes to the school and the description of the injury made me feel queasy. Also, there is mild language, like mentioning stupid a couple of times. But I still really, really like it. This book is full of surprises, but you’ll have to read it yourself to find out.
