Fowl Twins, The (Artemis Fowl)
The Fowl Twins is a spin-off from the famous series Artemis Fowl, I have read a few of the Artemis Fowl books so I was really excited when this came up for review.
We meet Beckett and Miles Fowl, Artemis’ younger brothers. They are playing at the beach when Beckett picks up a weird looking toy not knowing it’s a sleeping, evil troll. The Fowl Twins are in danger and a fairy named Lazuli comes to rescue them but before she can act to get the troll, a guy called Lord Teddy the Duke of the Sicily Islands comes into play. Teddy wants the troll because he heard, that the troll’s poison, if you use it correctly, can make you immortal but not immortal to weapons, just to have eternal life. Teddy shoots the troll with a shrink-wrap bullet when the Fowls house AI “hears” the gun, it automatically sends some rescue drones to come to get the twins… so Lazuli can’t get the troll! A nun comes and knocking and kidnaps the Twins and the troll! A race begins around the globe, all for one troll….
I liked this book a lot because of the action and the crazy twists in the storyline. It was very fast-paced and exciting. I recommend this book to kids who are nine or ten and up or just kids that like action, and spy stories and of course anyone who has read any of the other Artemis Fowl books.
