Fossils From Lost Worlds

This book is huge and has incredible illustrations! The best way to learn about the world around us is to learn about how the world has changed and how its creatures have adapted to their living conditions and to do that we have to look to the past.

Scientists are learning more and more about our world on a daily basis by exploring fossils and other remains left behind. The problem is, it is a lot of work to find fossils and put them back together to get a picture of some of the creatures from the past. Scientists must have lots of patience and problem-solving skills. I think it is incredible that shells have survived and been found from up to 1.4 million years ago! There is also evidence of walking fish, which makes me wonder how and why those animals had to change and evolve over the years.

My favorite part is learning about the many different types of dinosaurs that have been discovered. Finding the remains of these creatures leaves scientists with many questions. In the future, I would like to be a paleontologist and find the remains of dinosaurs and discover their hidden abilities. The illustrations in this book are absolutely incredible!
