Force of Fire

Pinki is a rakkhoshi who has parents who are both freedom fighters, but Pinki is nothing like them. First of all, Pinki can’t control her fire. She’s also very selfish. When Pinki and her cousins get stuck in human traps, she is too scared of frying off their feet if she burns the ropes. They meet Prince Sesha, the son of the Serpentine Governor. Sesha tells Pinki that if she can find the missing moonbeams that are hidden somewhere, Sesha can teach Pinki how to control her fire. What is Sesha up to?

This book was funny, interesting, and entertaining. If you like magical fantasy novels, you would enjoy this. The few illustrations were realistic and I would have loved to see them in color. I thought the characters were really different from each other and it brought a lot to the story.
