Felix After the Rain
Felix After the Rain is a sad and happy story. There is a boy named Felix who is walking along with a big black suitcase beside him. Felix is sad because of different reasons and different things that have happened in his life. He wants to leave his suitcase and get away from what he has hidden in there, but he can’t.
One day, while Felix is sleeping, a boy opens his suitcase. When Felix wakes up and finds this out, he starts crying. He cries and cries until he doesn’t need to anymore. After crying, Felix feels so much better! He goes around to people and gives them hugs and always has a smile on his face.
This story is sad at the beginning, I didn’t like learning why he was so sad all the time. I don’t usually think of crying as being a good thing, but after seeing how it made Felix happy, then it looks to be good. My mom, who works with people who get sad, says that this book is good for anyone! I agree that I like the pretty pictures and how there aren’t too many words on each page.
