Farmer Falgu Goes On a Trip

A farmer doesn’t like his farm because it’s super loud, so he decides to go on a trip to find silence. On his way he meets an old man who comes along with him, and they sing songs together. He also meets a snake charmer, who plays his music, and even a whole dance troupe. He likes being with them and forgets about finding silence until they all have to leave. Then he thinks that he will like the silence, but he realizes that his farm wasn’t noisy, it was happy! So he goes back home.

This book is really fun because it is interesting to learn that if you do one thing, you might forget about it, then remember it, and you might return to it because you might think that it’s a happy place. I like that the farmer decided he liked being on his farm and also that he was happy with the other people he met on the way. It is kind of a surprise, because you think he will be happy when he finally finds silence, but he decides he was happier on his farm. The pictures are colorful and fun to look at while you read!
