Fancy Nancy: Nancy Clancy, Star of Stage and Screen

This book is about a girl named Nancy Clancy. She is the same character from the Fancy Nancy books, but in this book she is older. The story is about how she is in a talent show called, “The Nifty Fifty.” I was in a talent show at my church and I did a tap dance to the song, “Rockin’ Robin”! Nancy asks her dad, “But were you ever in a play where you sang or danced or had lots of lines?” Since I love to act, dance, and sing on stage, this was a great book for me. There are some pictures in black and white in this book, but on the cover it is color. A funny part is when Nancy chooses the state Wisconsin for her report. I like to learn about the states, too! It is an interesting book because Nancy has some problems, and she has to figure out a solution for her to decide. Nancy explains that, “At first I was despondent about getting stage fright. It was a mortifying experience. However, I am grateful to my sibling for her assistance.” Fans of the Fancy Nancy books will like how Nancy uses “fancy words” in these chapter books, also.
