Fairy’s First Day of School
This book is about a fairy who is having her first day of school. She rides the school bird, plays acorn ball at recess, and listens to a fairy tale. Also she goes to the art center, tooth center, and spells center. One of my favorite parts is when Fairy leads the line of kids across the spider web. I also like it when a different fairy feeds the class firefly. It’s basically about a school day, but for fairies.
I love the fact that they are fairies because they are so small and they have wings and magic. I love to see the special activities they do. There are colorful, detailed illustrations that tell the story beautifully. I especially like all the pretty flowers and nature. This is a great book for older and younger kids, but especially kids who are nervous about school because it looks so easy and fun. Also there are a lot of easy-to-read speech bubbles if you’re just learning to read. If you like fairies and school, you’ll like this book.
