Description
Nothing is quite as whimsical and sweet as fairy furniture. Whether you are decorating your garden, yard, or dollhouse, a scrumptious bedstead made several sizes too small is the perfect touch. This book guides you through the process of creating elfin possessions. It has sections on Gathering and Preserving Natural Materials, Making Basic Elements, an inspiration gallery, and a Natural Materials index. There are instructions for four poster beds, cradles, chairs, writing desks, pianos, book shelves, a tower, and even an entire cottage! One of the great things about this book is that the authors emphasize the flexibility of the materials. They encourage substitution; if you happen to live near a beach, use a seashell for a pillow instead of a cattail. Use whatever flowers and herbs you have on hand. They also include variations and decorating ideas to make each project your own! The finished products have a humble unsymmetrical appearance that somehow increases their appeal.
This book is a cute handbook made to help one learn how to make pixish decorations. Everyone can learn from this book because it has in-depth step-by-step instructions with beautiful photographs that illustrate each step.
