Description
The book Facing Feelings: Inside the World of Raina Telgemeier is different from her other books. It’s not like her usual graphic novels, but it’s still good. It’s like seeing all her best books in one. You will learn about her inspirations and how she became such a great author and illustrator.
At first, I was disappointed because I was expecting another graphic novel, but then I realized that this is a great behind-the-scenes book. I even read it more than once.
I really loved the pictures and the graphics. It was good to see the graphics from her other books and to hear the stories behind them – she spoke about different kinds of feelings (such as fear, happiness, and anger). My favorite section was about the book Guts. I liked how she shared that she got a lot of panic attacks and what it felt like. She used a scene from Toy Story 2 to explain what it felt like. I also really enjoyed learning how the covers for her books were chosen.
This book was really good. I would recommend it to anyone who loves Raina Telgemeier. Also, anyone who wants to make comics would enjoy this book a lot.
All the graphics and pictures were great. There is a funny picture that was especially funny!!
I would definitely read it again, and so will my sister.
