Evette’s Invitation
Evette was having a birthday party, and said that only people who have baby sisters can come. Blaine said that he had a baby brother, and that’s pretty much the same only it’s a boy. But Evette said it had to be a baby sister. And that’s pretty rude. Then Josh said his dad was a boy, and Padma says, “Not a boy, Botta boy!” which I think is very weird and doesn’t make any sense. Evette says actually, people can come to her party if they have a baby brother or a baby sister. Then Padma says a weird thing again! Evette changed her mind, that if you put your head under the water, then you could come to her birthday party. Then Evette said anyone who eats super food can come, and since they were all eating broccoli, they could all come to her party.
I don’t like this book very much because it’s very strange. Padma keeps saying strange things, and the things the other people said don’t make any sense either. I like the pictures, and some of them were funny at times, but not very much. It seems like it would be a confusing conversation to be talking about.
