Emilio is a sloth and he wants people to know that sloths are slow because they are mindful about their appearances. Even though he is slow, he is mindful of time and always tries to be on time when meeting friends for tea. Emilio is always very kind and listens to their friends and their feelings. Emilio is the perfect example of having mindful manners.
Sloths are a favorite in our house so this was a great book. I think this is a great book for younger readers, with the simple text and easy lessons on how to be kind and thoughtful to others. My sister really liked the book. Our favorite part was the tea party the sloth and the swan had. The illustrations are so cute.
