Eliza Bing Is (Not) A Big, Fat Quitter

Eliza Bing is an 11-year old girl who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – ADHD. ADHD is a condition where she needs things to be the same all the time and comfortable clothes. Eliza also needs to take a pill every day to help her.

She wants to take a summer cake decorating class, but she can’t because it’s a lot of money and she has quit almost everything she has tried after one or two times. Her parents think she’ll quit the cake class, too. And so when her brother quits Taekwondo, she offers to take his place since they’ve already paid for the class and she wants to prove to her parents that she’s not a big, fat quitter. Maybe that way she can take the fall cake decorating class. The rest of the book talks about the Taekwondo class and how she lives her life with ADHD.

I liked this book because I liked Eliza and how she didn’t quit on Taekwondo even when it was difficult. I think this book would be good for 8 to adult.
