Elena of Avalor Elena and the Secret of Avalor

Princess Sofia goes to the secret library. It is full of stories about real people and real things that have happened in the past. When she opens a book called The Lost Princess of Avalor, an old wizard named Alacazar appears. Alacazar tells Sofia that her amulet pulled Princess Elena inside of it to protect her from the evil sorceress Shuriki.

Sofia decides to go to Avalor to free Elena so she can take her kingdom back from Shuriki. Along with jaquins (half jaguars and half birds) and the help of many other friends, the newly-freed Elena and Princess Sofia fight the mean Shuriki. They also free Elena’s family from a picture!

Will Elena ever get her kingdom back? Will the evil Shuriki be defeated?

This story was exciting, and the pictures were colorful and fun. I like how there is magic in the book and magical creatures like jaquins! Not only is this an awesome book all by itself, but there is also a bonus story at the end of this book that introduces Elena and her friends! I would recommend this book to all of my friends – I am sure they will love it as much as I did!
